Review: Jenni Kayne Shearling-Lined Mules

Jenni Kayne Shearling Lined Mules Review with Pictures

I only really wear three types of shoes these days. 1. Sneakers. 2. Birkenstocks. 3. Mules.

I wear sneakers the most because they’re so comfortable and are great for walking in any weather. But I love changing it up with some mules when I’m not planning on walking long distances. The Jenni Kayne Shearling Lined Mules are a great option. Here is my review.

Sizing/ Fit: These run true to size for me, maybe even slightly long. I find them tight at the top of my foot. What I did shortly after purchase was put on a few chunky pairs of socks, heat the leather with the hair dryer until its nice and hot, and walk around for 20 minutes or so until the tight part of the leather stretches out. I used to do this with all casual leather shoes to quickly break them in. It helps tremendously.

Comfort: After breaking these in as noted above, I find them extremely cozy and comfortable. Not walking-for-miles shoes by any means, but comfortable enough for typical use, running a few errands, kid pick up, etc.

Durability: The suede does get dirty, and benefits from a protective spray. The shearling is super dense (I have quite a few amazing shearling sandals to compare with), and I anticipate it will last a long time. The shoe overall is very well made.

Verdict: These are extremely expensive. I wanted them for many years but could not afford them. I recently found them on a secondhand site and pulled the trigger and I’m glad I did. They are so unique and definitely look high end. Knock offs just don’t compare for these. I 100% recommend them.
